A HUGE THANK YOU to all of those who helped to make our first-ever mixed-double tournament fundraiser such a great SUCCESS.

 

We did reach our goal by raising enough money for our girls team. More importantly, the event was such a success because of the smiles we saw on the faces of so many students, faculties and parents.  Everyone involved showed such great team bonding and sportsmanship. We hope to build on this event and eventually make it a bigger and better event every year.  

 

We especially would like to send a big  thank you to COACH FRIENDT and COACH FISCHEL SR for supporting us and encouraging all of our players to participate. Also a big thank you to MR. HAN NGUYEN, our best tournament director.  The event started and ended on time because of you.  Thank you DR. RAFTER, and all faculties for participating.  Your presence elevated the whole tournament and provided such enjoyment for the kids to watch.   Congratulations to Varsity Champs MANDY SHI/MR. MULLER and JV Champs KHUSHI JAIN/COACH FISCHEL JR. The championship prizes were personalized shirts that said “Beckman Mix-Doubles Champs” + 10 boba $5 gift cards. Also, congrats to Runner Up winners and Consolation winners. Their prizes were personalized shirts + 5 boba gift cards and personalized shirts, respectively.

Finally, a big huge shout out to all the parents involved who helped set up, helped clean up, sell drinks/goodies, and assist with making the tournament run so smoothly. Without the help of everyone involved, this event would not have been possible.

Victoria Aguirre, Beckman: The four-year varsity player recorded sweeps against Foothill, Woodbridge, Corona del Mar and Marborough before defeating University’s Jane Lee for the first time in an epic 7-6 (7-3) set that lasted about an hour and 10 minutes. Aguirre was 0-6 against Lee entering the match.
